House clearance in Ostend

A house clearance in Ostend is most often a flat: on the seafront or in the centre, with a lift, a cellar storage room and sometimes a garage box. Many of them are second homes of people who live elsewhere. We clear them completely and hand them back broom-clean, at a fixed price agreed in advance from your photos.

Clearing a flat on the Ostend seafront

Ostend is a city of apartment blocks, on the seafront and in the streets behind it. A clearance there depends on the lift, the cellar storage and the rules of the building: many seafront blocks have a strict syndic and fixed hours for moving furniture. Ask about them before you set the date.

On the seafront itself the truck cannot simply stop; the loading bay is usually in a side street, and the route from the lift to the truck is part of the plan. See apartment clearance for the full checklist.

Second homes and holiday flats

A large share of the flats in Ostend belongs to people who live elsewhere in Belgium or abroad. When such a flat is sold or the owner stops coming, it has to be emptied without the owner being on site for days.

That is exactly what a clearance by photos is for: you send photos of every room and the storage, receive a fixed price, arrange the keys through the syndic or an agency, and the flat is emptied and swept. For a sale, see the broom-clean handover.

What does a house clearance in Ostend cost?

Most Ostend flats fall within the range for a whole home, €900 to €2,500, often at the lower end for a one-bedroom flat with a lift. A full cellar storage room or garage box alone is €250 to €600.

You receive the fixed price from photos; the city's fee for the loading bay is separate. See house clearance prices and house clearance in Bruges for the city just inland.
